Beschreibung
With metal printing playing a more important role in aviation, scaling-up production and reducing initial ramping-up costs becomes critical. Process-orientated and simulation-based approaches are superior over a manual trial and error procedure. Not only for cost reasons, but also to make implicit knowledge accessible to every stakeholder. Numeric simulation capable of baring different parameters “in mind” display more accurate results than iterative simulation approaches where the human factor is the bottle-neck for precise documentation and results. This presentation will show the differences of an automated simulation to a more or less labor-centric simulation approach.
Wichtige Erkenntnisse
- simulation in metal printing
- controling deformation and displacement
- adding quality to the Additive Manufacturing process
