This session will cover in detail the specific areas of our Autodesk Build implementation, including how we redefined account admin standards on roles and companies, how projects were onboarded to the new platform, and how Clayco, Inc., took a measured approach to its rollout of Autodesk Build modules. We will provide extensive lessons learned from our adoption, and tips on how we track the effectiveness of our Build rollout. PlanGrid has been taking the construction world by storm ever since its creation in the early 2010s. Thousands of projects throughout the world have utilized this product, and it is widely used by general contractors as well as subcontractors. This class will go through custom field workflows for PlanGrid, and will be centered around the PlanGrid mobile app. We will touch on several different field workflows that are being used in the construction industry today and how they can be performed all in PlanGrid’s mobile app. This course will go beyond the basics of PlanGrid and will enable learners to see how easy and intuitive PlanGrid is, even when performing advanced field workflows.

As an engineering firm, how do you implement PlanGrid in a department where the vast majority of projects are small, and the general contractor is not using any of these tools? We had to tweak and adjust what seems to be the intended use of PlanGrid to match our needs. We had our road map all plan for and then Covid sent all of our employees home. It forced us to reconsider our entire approach of deployment and management. At the end of the day, using tablets with PlanGrid allowed us to maintain business continuity while keeping our staff safe as they didn’t have to go to the office and plot drawings.

This session is a follow-up of the class presented last year about the “Virtual construction site management with advanced workflow in BIM360” (CS468465). We will describe the improvements made this year through the adoption of the Build module including the PlanGrid Build mobile app for field workers. We’ve been widely extending the use of Construction Cloud with digitalization of other construction processes in addition of those already implemented. We are focusing our attention on setting up a workflow for safety and environmental check in the work site.Using Forge and Construction Cloud Connect, we are developing integration with other company database and Legacy IT systems, to avoid data redundancy and to build up integrated dashboards. In upcoming years we will be able to manage and improve the construction process of linear infrastructure projects with ConstructionCloud in order to improve data quality, reduce costs and time by 60%, reduce wastefulness and promote sustainability
